Kevin Douglas

Kevin joined Brian Mole IFA Limited in 1994, and is now the company’s Managing Director. Kevin lives in Church Broughton with his wife Alison and son Matthew. Kevin enjoys all sports especially cricket having played for Ticknall and Brailsford. Kevin’s time is now split between running the company and looking after his many existing clients. Kevin is Chairman of The Brian Mole IFA Limited Investment Committee, and his role ensures that he regularly meets with Fund Managers. Kevin’s most recent highlight was being invited to lunch by Invesco/Perpetual’s most famous Fund Manager Neil Woodford. Kevin commented that Neil who manages over £25 billion “has produced exceptionally consistent returns for all his investors, from both the Income and High Income funds. Neil Woodford is incredibly knowledgeable and extremely passionate and it was a pleasure to meet him”. In Kevin’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, and enjoys good food and good company. Kevin is also a sportsman, and endeavours to succeed in everything he does.

Dean Woodward

Dean has worked in the Financial Services Industry for all his working life. He joined Brian Mole IFA Limited in 2005, and is now a Director of the company. Dean is Burton born and bred, and now lives in Stretton with his wife Kay. They have 3 grown up children (still cost money!). Dean is a keen rugby advocate, and is involved in coaching at Burton Rugby Club. He also enjoys most other sport and competes whenever possible.

Nigel Fern

Nigel has been with Brian Mole IFA limited since 2005. He joined the Financial Services Industry in 1992. Nigel spent 13 years with the Co-operative Insurance Society. In 2009, Nigel joined the board of Brian Mole IFA Limited as a Director. He stated “this is the highlight of my career so far!” Nigel is committed to the Financial Services Industry and cares deeply about his numerous clients. He is married to Helen and they have 3 children, Ellis, Callum and Jordon. Out of work Nigel has been heavily involved in local football, but as he is getting older, he spends his time now on the sidelines. He is also extremely competitive and enjoys all the inter office sports competitions.

Howard Greatorex

Howard is a Director of the company and joined Brian Mole IFA Limited in 2003. Howard joined the Financial Services Industry at the young age of 22 in 1985. His career began with Co-op Insurance Services. This gave him a good insight into the industry. He moved to Britannic Assurance in 1989 and enjoyed a further 9 successful years before then deciding to join the world of Independent Financial Advisers. He set up his own company at the beginning of 1998, and created the IFA arm of a large Nottingham Accountancy company. In 2003 he moved to Brian Mole IFA Limited as a Senior Financial Adviser and in early 2009 was invited to become a Director of the company, which he accepted with a great deal of pride, energy and enthusiasm. He is committed to moving forward, and to continue to develop Brian Mole IFA Limited. Howard lives in Mickleover, and is married to Jane. They have 3 sons, which continue to cost him a fortune!. Howard, as with many of the staff at Brian Mole IFA Limited enjoys all sports, especially football, and Howard is a keen follower of Derby County and Burton Albion. Howard is keenly competitive and enjoys the inter office 5 aside and cricket competitions.

James Bishop

James joined the Financial Services industry in 2001 and joined Brian Mole IFA Limited as an Independent Financial Adviser in 2005. James is also shortly to become a Chartered Financial Planner. His knowledge and experience in Company and Corporate Financial planning is a great asset to the company. In James’s spare time he is an all round sports “guru”, apart from being a scratch golfer, he is a tri-athlete, he lives with his partner Donna in Willington and they have 2 cats and a horse, (neigh!).

Terry Briggs

Terry has been with Brian Mole IFA Limited since 1997 and is one of the company’s Senior Consultants. Prior to joining Brian Mole he had over 10 years experience with Pearl Assurance. Terry lives with his partner Karen and they have 2 young children Nevada and Jenson. Terry lives locally near Sudbury and interests include property renovation, (one of his houses was featured on a Property Renovation TV programme). Terry is a keen DIY expert and is a Bolton Wonderers supporter.

Peter Coulson

Peter has been in the Financial Services Industry since 1993. He joined Brian Mole Independent Financial Advisers Limited in 2007. Peter lives in Derby and is married to Dawn and has 3 grown up children. Peter enjoys all sports, and is extremely competitive, especially in our own 5 aside football competitions. He previously played and coached football at a senior level. He also enjoys walking in the countryside.

Phil Edwards

Phil lives at Church Leigh in Staffordshire with his partner Bev and their daughter Chelsea. Phil has worked in financial services since 1981 and joined Brian Mole IFA Limited in 2004. Phil is also a keen sportsman, particularly football and is a regular supporter of Burton Albion, as well as an avid Chelsea supporter. Phil likes to relax by completing crosswords, quizzes. He also enjoys listening to all types of music.

Mark Hill

Mark has been with Brian Mole IFA Limited since 2003. He joined the Financial Services industry in 1989 and spent many years with the Halifax Building Society as well as HSBC and John Charcol’s. Mark has had Senior Management roles within the Building Society sector and is completing his Chartered status for financial planning. He has extensive experience in all areas of financial planning. Mark lives in Burton and is married to Lesley and they have 2 daughters Alana and Amelia. In his spare times he enjoys playing squash, socialising and is a follower of Everton Football Club.

Brian Mole

Whilst Brian is no longer an adviser or director of the company he acts as a business consultant and provides invaluable support to the management team.

With over 30 years experience of advising and 25 years running a financial service business there is very little that Brian has not seen or done he continues to call into the office on a regular basis, but can more often be found on the golf course or performing his many other duties within the community.

Brian continues to live in Barton under Needwood with his wife Sherian, his two sons Simon and David have recently moved on to university providing Brian with even more free time to engage in his passions of golf, holidays and walking in the peaks.

Nigel West

Nigel joined Brian Mole IFA Limited in 2004, having joined the Financial Services industry in 1994. Nigel is shortly to become a Chartered Practitioner and is committed to looking after his many clients. He lives locally in Stapenhill with his wife Carol and they have 2 young daughters, Isabelle and Emily. When Nigel is not being kept busy by his children, he enjoys watching most sport and he plays cricket for Winshill Cricket Club. He also enjoys keeping fit, and is a regular attendee at a local health club.

Consultants

Colin Evans

Colin is the Company’s Compliance Manager, and joined Brian Mole IFA Limited in 1998 as a Financial Adviser. Colin spent the previous 20 years in financial planning. He has attained Chartered status from the Chartered Insurance Institute, and Diploma status from the Personal Finance Society. He is married to Bridget and they have 2 children. Colin lives in Lichfield. In Colin’s spare time, he enjoys countryside walks, and for many years Colin was the local Scout Leader, dedicating a considerable amount of his spare time to the cause.

Administration

Sherian Mole

Sherian has been with the company since its start and is married to Brian. Sherian works in the accounts department and also helps out in all other areas of the business when required to do so. She enjoys the variety of the work whether its administration, accountancy, or any other aspect the MD asks her to do! She thoroughly enjoys the work and the social interaction within the office. When not at work Sherian enjoys country side walks and is almost always found, lost, with Brian in the middle of nowhere!

Julie Robinson

Julie has been with Brian Mole IFA Limited since 1999. She has two children, Vicky and Andrew. Julie has just bought a puppy, a Japanese Akita, and enjoys taking him for long walks in the countryside. She also enjoys meeting up with friends and shopping.

Sara Cotton

Sara Joined Brian Mole in April 2010, after being in retail for six years. She lives in Willington with her partner Paul of 21 years, their daughter Sophie, and dog Oscar! In her spare time Sara enjoys the gym which she attends regularly and socialising with friends.

Debora Dix

Debora joined Brian Mole IFA Limited in 2009. She enjoys travelling and prior to joining the company spent several months volunteering her time in Mexico. In her spare time Debora enjoys swimming and is a keen photographer. One of her favourite hobbies is to go shopping in her home town of Leeds whilst visiting family and friends. Since working for Brian Mole IFA Limited her interest in the financial sector has increased and is keen to study further.

Jayne Pride

Jayne joined BM IFA in June 2006, initially 1-day per week. Over the years she has increased her hours and now works 4 days. Holding IPPM Dipolma status Jayne runs our payroll and manages the accounts. She lives locally and is married to Dale. They have 2 young children, Millar and Harriet. Most of her spare time is taken up acting as ‘mums taxi service’ running the children to their various activities and is a keen supporter when both perform, whether it be rugby or ballet! When she does get time, a bit of retail therapy never goes amiss!

Ruth Parker

Ruth joined Brian Mole IFA Limited in February 2005 as part of the Administration Team. In October 2006, she passed the CF1 exam. Ruth has been married for 37 years; has two grown up daughters and a 10 year old granddaughter. Ruth’s hobbies are reading and cross-stitch. She enjoys spending her spare time with her family and friends.
